Oracle Order Management & Shipping Execution – Sales Order Line Status Flow & Meaning

In Oracle Order Management the order line status is captured in the Line Items Main tab in the Status field. In Oracle Shipping Execution the status displays the delivery line status in the Shipping Transactions form on the Lines/LPN Main tab in the Line Status field.
 ‘OM’ denotes the flow in Order Management Sales order form &
 ‘SE’ denotes the flow in Shipping Transaction Form

For a standard flow the statuses are:

When the lines are interfaced manually into Shipping, are not scheduled and has no reservations. When lines are imported automatically from OM this status is not used

Pick Release started but not yet completed. One of the reason could be allocation have not been pick confirmed. The Pick Release process creates a Move Order Header & Mover Order Line in Inventory. This is a common status when performing a two-step pick release process. This status indicates that inventory allocation has occurred however pick confirmation is performed.

Ready to Release
SE
Sales order Line is booked and entry is done in shipping table & eligible for pick release

Backordered
SE
Backordered status exist during the below scenarios
-          When the order line quantity is not fulfilled by the on-hand reservable quantity
-          User Manually backordered the entire delivery line quantity.

Delivery line is ship confirmed

Confirmed

Delivery line is shipped or backordered and the trip stops are open.

Pick release is complete, both allocations and pick confirm

This status exist when the delivery line is not allocated the full quantity during the pick release & ship confirm not occurred.

Delivery line is shipped & Inventory interface trip stop concurrent is completed

Awaiting Fulfillment

This status exist when fulfillment set is used, not all shippable lines in a fulfillment set or a configuration is fulfilled.

When all the lines in a fulfilment set are fulfilled

Interfaced to Receivables

This status exist when the sales order is linked with receivables and the invoice is created.

Partially Interface to Receivables

This status exist during a PTO flow and indicated that the particular PTO item is required for revenue.

This status exist when the sales order line is closed

This status exist when the line has been completely canceled & no further processing will occur for the line.

Once a Sales Order line is booked, the Shippable lines enter into “wsh_delivery_details” table. The column “Released Status” has below status values which provide the information of the Sales Order line pick release status

B: Backordered: 
When the Sales Order is pick released but On-hand is not available for the order line, in this scenario the order line is back ordered and the released status = 'B'

C: Shipped:
Once the Order line is shipped the associated delivery details Released Status is changed to 'C'. OM interface and Inventory interface have processed and the trip is closed.

D: Cancelled:
When the Order line is cancelled the released status = 'D'

I: Interfaced:
When the Order line is interface the released status = ‘I’

N: Not Ready for Release: 
Line is not ready to be released. This can happen when the information is available in wsh_delivery_details but order line has not reached the Awaiting Shipping status, might be due to some workflow customization

R: Ready to Release: 
Order line has been booked and the line is ready to be pick released. Line status is Awaiting Shipping

S: Released to Warehouse: 
Depending on the Pick release process in the business it might be that Pick release is performed with Auto Pick confirm Set to No. In this scenarios when we do pick release the Move Order will be created. Move Order allocation is done, but since Auto Pick Confirm is set to No the Move Order will not be transacted. The Delivery Detail will be in state: Pick Wave

X: Not Applicable:
Line is not applicable for Pick Release, for the non-shippable item lines ex: Warranty orders
  
Y: Staged:
Line has been picked and staged by Inventory. In this Case the line has been pick released. The Move Order Creation, Allocation and transaction is completed. Goods have be transferred from the Source Sub-inventory to Staging area of the warehouse and the line is ready to be shipped
